Sonic the Hedgehog’s trademark recklessness puts the coveted Chaos Emeralds in harm’s way, leaving them unstable just as they’re about to be activated. A botched Chaos Control erupts around Dr. Eggman’s base, sweeping everything up in a sprawling distortion whose outcome no one can foresee.

Separated from both friends and foes, Sonic wakes in an unfamiliar city among strangers—only to realize he’s been flung across the universe to Earth. Hounded by bewildered authorities, he stumbles into the world of the wealthy Thorndyke family, where their son Christopher offers him a place to hide and a chance to understand this new home. From the safety of the Thorndyke household, Sonic sets out to reunite with his companions, confront the danger that followed him, and find a way back.
