Tales from Earthsea

Strange disasters ripple across Earthsea as dragons are sighted battling high above the clouds—an unheard-of omen. The Archmage Sparrowhawk sets out to learn what’s upsetting the world’s balance, and on the road he encounters Prince Arren, the fugitive heir of Enlad. Quiet and shaken by a shadow he can’t escape, Arren chooses to follow Sparrowhawk in hopes of outrunning the darkness pursuing him.

Their journey leads them to the coastal settlement of Hort Town, where a new threat emerges: Lord Cob, a sinister wizard consumed by the promise of eternal life. With danger closing in, Sparrowhawk and Arren find allies in Tenar, Sparrowhawk’s longtime friend, and Therru, the troubled orphan in her care. As Cob’s schemes prey on the heart as much as the body, Arren’s fragile resolve is put to a perilous test amid Earthsea’s shifting tides of magic and fear.
