Hell runs on paperwork, and the underworld’s day-to-day operations have rarely been so orderly thanks to Hoozuki, the unflappable chief deputy serving Lord Enma, the King of Hell. From advising figures like Momotarou from Japanese folklore to handling diplomatic visits from the Judeo-Christian conception of Hell, he keeps the wheels turning from just behind Enma’s imposing presence—ready to shut down problems with ruthless efficiency (mostly in spirit, if not always in method).

Hozuki’s Coolheadedness follows Hoozuki’s calm, cutting approach to crisis management as he troubleshoots the endless complications of infernal bureaucracy. Packed with familiar names from Japanese legends and East Asian mythology recast as middle-management coworkers, the comedy leans into anachronistic, referential humor while asking a simple question: how do you run a workplace when everyone is already from hell?
