Shigurui: Death Frenzy

Set at the dawn of the Edo period’s hard-won peace, Lord Tokugawa Tadanaga stages a sword-fighting tournament that rejects tradition: where bouts once used wooden blades, the contestants are ordered to draw real steel.

Among the fighters are Fujiki Gennosuke, missing an arm, and Irako Seigen, a blind swordsman. Both trained under Iwamoto Kogan—renowned as Japan’s greatest master—and each is driven to claim rightful succession to his school. With only one victor possible, their confrontation becomes the focal point of a grim tale of rivalry, fate, and violent ambition.
