Kurozuka

In 12th-century Japan, the swordsman Kurou flees relentless pursuers into a remote forest alongside his servant, Benkei. Their escape leads them to the hidden home of the striking Kuromitsu, who welcomes them in—on one strict condition: Kurou must never enter her private room.

Curiosity and a growing attachment push Kurou to break that rule, and he discovers Kuromitsu feeding on the blood of the dead. Revealed as an immortal vampire, she draws Kurou into her eternal existence, a devotion that comes at a steep cost when the enigmatic Red Army turns Benkei against him and Kurou is betrayed and beheaded.

Kurou later regains consciousness far beyond his own era, in a ruined, modern Japan. With the past torn open and old enemies still casting long shadows, he sets out to find Kuromitsu again and settle his score with the Red Army.
