Umio, a reserved newcomer, begins working part-time at a manga shop in the heart of the city. Despite the bright streets outside, his day-to-day life is shaped more by the store’s routines and the small dramas of the job than by any urban glamour.

Most of Umio’s world quickly centers on his co-workers: a friendly but distinctly eccentric bunch who operate like a close-knit circle. They trade nicknames, lean into their shared otaku interests, and often choose quiet weekends indoors, happily removed from the bustling scene beyond the shop’s doors.
