Mushi-Uta

Set in a not-so-distant future, the world is plagued by the emergence of peculiar insect-like entities called "Mushi." These creatures possess the unsettling ability to consume human dreams and thoughts, granting supernatural abilities in exchange. The narrative introduces Daisuke "Kakkou" Kusuriya, who, after a chance encounter with a mysterious girl named Shiika Anmoto, finds his life intertwined with hers. As their bond deepens, Kakkou remains unaware of Shiika's dark past as a fugitive from GARDEN, a secretive institution that confines those affected by the Mushi, referred to as Mushitsuki.

As the story unfolds, GARDEN's elite enforcement unit, the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office, sets its sights on capturing Shiika. Yet, they face opposition from the Mushibane resistance, a group determined to challenge the oppressive forces at play, led by the enigmatic figure known only as "Ladybird." With tension mounting and loyalties tested, Kakkou and Shiika must navigate a world where dreams can be both a gift and a curse.
