Natsuko Hirose rockets to prominence as a professional animator and even earns a directing debut, but the pressure to outdo herself on her next project sends her into a spiral of missed deadlines and relentless micromanaging. The grind finally catches up with her when she collapses from food poisoning.

She wakes in a strange land and is immediately hunted by a monster known as a Void, only to be rescued by the renowned Nine Soldiers—Luke Braveheart, Memmeln, QJ, and Unio. Still wary, Natsuko soon realizes she’s been summoned into the world of her beloved childhood film, *A Tale of Perishing*, where familiar events are already falling into place ahead of a devastating Void invasion.

When her animation peg bar begins to glow, Natsuko discovers she can bring her drawings to life. Armed with that power and her knowledge of how the movie is supposed to unfold, she fights back alongside the Nine Soldiers, determined to rewrite the looming tragedy and uncover a path home.
