When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace

A routine meeting of the Literature Club takes a strange turn when its four members—and their adviser’s niece—suddenly awaken supernatural abilities. For chuunibyou enthusiast Jurai Andou, it sounds like a dream come true: he can conjure black flames. The catch is that his power is mostly spectacle, especially compared with the others. Tomoyo Kanzaki can manipulate time, Andou’s childhood friend Hatoko Kushikawa commands the five elements, club president Sayumi Takanashi can restore objects and even heal living beings, and Chifuyu Himeki can create items from nothing.

Even with the unanswered question of why these powers appeared, club life doesn’t transform into constant battles. Instead, the five continue their familiar school days, now colored by small supernatural twists and the comedic imbalance between Andou’s excitement and everyone else’s overwhelming talents.
