Twelve-year-old Takumi Harada is already recognized as a gifted baseball pitcher. When his family relocates to the rural town of Nitta, he’s forced to join his new school’s inexperienced baseball club—something he treats less as a setback and more as a chance to turn an unknown team into a contender through his own ability. The real problem is finding a catcher who can handle his exceptional pitches.

That gap begins to close when he meets Gou Nagakura, an enthusiastic classmate and devoted admirer determined to prove he’s more than just talk. As Takumi and Gou struggle to form a dependable battery, Takumi’s blunt, irreverent attitude puts him at odds with his teammates, while guidance from his grandfather pushes him to search for what truly makes baseball enjoyable.
