Cross Game

Kou Kitamura and Aoba Tsukishima can hardly go a day without clashing, even as their families remain close friends and business partners. Kou, the son of a sporting-goods shop owner, has little interest in actually playing baseball—yet his frequent trips to the Tsukishima family’s batting center have left him with a remarkably strong swing. Aoba, by contrast, lives for the sport, standing out as a talented player known for her polished pitching.

What binds the bickering pair is Wakaba Tsukishima—Aoba’s older sister and the girl Kou is meant for. Cherished by both, Wakaba becomes the spark behind their ongoing rivalry, even as time hints that Kou and Aoba may share more than either is willing to admit. With baseball at the heart of their school days, their relationship begins to shift alongside the personal hurdles they each carry.
