Island

On the secluded island of Urashima, a man is found washed ashore with no memory of who he is or where he came from. The one thing he’s certain of is that he’s a time traveler, sent with a mission to protect a particular girl. When night falls, he encounters Rinne Ohara singing a melody that stirs a familiar name—Setsuna—and he adopts it as his own.

Rinne, who knows of another “Setsuna,” brings him into her home as a servant, hoping he’s the person she’s been waiting for. As Setsuna searches for clues to his past, he learns about Urashima’s legends, its three influential families, and a strange local illness that keeps those afflicted from going out in daylight. With each secret uncovered, the urgency of his purpose grows—yet the island’s many burdens make him wonder whether his journey through time was meant to change only one girl’s destiny.
