Katsugeki Touken Ranbu

In 1863, Izuminokami Kanesada and his partner Horikawa Kunihiro step into Edo from the future to confirm their master’s warning of an imminent invasion. As human-shaped incarnations of Toshizou Hijikata’s famed blades, they serve as sword warriors charged with defending the integrity of history against the Retrograde Army, a force determined to rewrite the past.

With additional warriors joining their cause, the fight stretches across the Bakumatsu era, where every clash carries consequences beyond the battlefield. Amid the turmoil of a time deeply tied to their own origins, Kanesada and Kunihiro face hard choices in a struggle marked by bloodshed and betrayal, risking everything they hold dear to keep history on its intended course.
