Inuyashiki: Last Hero

Ichirou Inuyashiki, a 58-year-old husband and father, is worn down by chronic back pain and, even more, by the cold indifference of his wife and children. His one comfort comes from Hanako, an abandoned Shiba Inu he takes in. When a medical recheck leaves him with a terminal stomach cancer diagnosis and only three months to live, the lack of concern at home pushes him into a breaking point—until, in a nearby field, he encounters a strange figure.

A sudden flash and an explosion change everything. Ichirou awakens to find his body replaced by a lethal mechanical form hidden beneath his familiar appearance. Shaken but still guided by empathy, he begins using his new abilities to protect others, discovering a renewed sense of purpose in the process.

Yet the source of his transformation remains a mystery, and the question lingers: if someone else received the same power that night, would they choose the same path Ichirou does?
