Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko

For centuries, shrine maidens known as Toji have stood between humanity and the Aratama—unnatural, hostile beings that threaten the world. In the present day, these sword-wielding protectors operate under a special police unit, while five government-backed academies train promising girls in the combat skills needed to join their ranks.

Kanami Etou, a student at Minoseki Academy, is selected to compete in a national swordsmanship tournament where she crosses paths with the enigmatic Hiyori Juujou. As the two fight their way to the top, a sudden incident during their match upends the event and sends shockwaves through the Toji community. With signs pointing to treachery from within, Kanami and Hiyori are driven to run—forced to face former allies as they search for the truth.
