Nagisa Aragaki’s passion for badminton warps after a humiliating 21–0 loss at the National Junior Badminton Tournament. Unable to shake the shame, she turns her frustration on Kitakomachi High School’s badminton club, driving teammates through punishing practices until some break down and others quit. As the roster dwindles and newcomers are scared off, the club’s future starts to look bleak.

Hope arrives with Kentarou Tachibana, a new coach with Olympic-level skill—and an unexpected recruit in Ayano Hanesaki, the same player who defeated Nagisa six months earlier.
