Long ago, magic flourished—until its power was turned toward war. To bring the conflict to an end, seven mighty mages sacrificed themselves to seal magic away. Nearly a thousand years later, that seal, Magiaconatus, now presides over Granbelm: monthly battles held to decide which participant deserves the title of Princeps, the sole true mage.

During a full-moon night, high schooler Mangetsu Kohinata is abruptly drawn into an illusory realm where six mages are already competing. Taken for an enemy, she’s attacked until Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami intervenes with her Armanox, Viola Katze. When Shingetsu is targeted for shielding her, Magiaconatus bestows Mangetsu with an Armanox of her own—White Lily—pulling her into the fight and leading her to stand beside Shingetsu in Granbelm as they pursue a wish worth battling for.
