Berühren Corporation’s cyborg-soldier technology has spilled into civilian hands, creating the Extended—people rebuilt with mechanical parts. Juuzou Inui is one of them: a former soldier with no memory of who he was before the war, now scraping out a living by handling Extended-related cases across the city.

When talk spreads of a rogue Extended who abducted a child, the rumor becomes real the moment a massive mechanical man bursts into Juuzou’s office with a boy on his back, pleading for help. Turning them in would be easy, but the situation doesn’t add up—too many parties seem desperate to get their hands on the child. Pulled into a widening conspiracy, Juuzou is forced to dig into why the Extended is being hunted, what it has to do with Berühren, and how deep the betrayal runs.
