Synopsis

Starting elementary school, first-grader Shiori finally encounters the part of student life she’s only heard ominous whispers about: homework. Any nerves fade quickly when the girls of Asahigaoka decide to tackle their assignments together at Komari and Natsumi Koshigaya’s home—until a familiar bout of procrastination turns study time into a noisy detour, much to Natsumi’s dismay.

Elsewhere, Natsumi approaches her teacher, Kazuho Miyauchi, with an ambitious idea: founding and captaining a badminton club. With little money and even less equipment, she and the others seek help from Kaede Kagayama, the local candy shop owner.
