The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting

Tooru Kirishima is a feared yakuza enforcer known in the underworld as the “Demon of Sakuragi,” a man quick to settle problems with violence. After his actions nearly derail a peace agreement, his boss hands him an unexpected assignment meant to teach responsibility: look after Yaeka Sakuragi, the boss’s quiet seven-year-old daughter.

The job proves tougher than any brawl. Tooru has no idea how to talk to a child, and Yaeka struggles to show what she’s feeling, leaving the two awkwardly out of sync at first. Little by little, their daily time together softens the distance between them, and the unlikely pair begins to discover a kind of family that goes beyond blood ties.
