Poco's Udon World

Souta Tawara steps away from the rush of Tokyo and returns to his hometown in Kagawa. With his parents gone, the old family home and the udon shop they once ran stir memories of when everyone was still together. While looking around the restaurant, he finds a dirty young boy asleep inside.

Assuming it’s just a strange coincidence, Souta offers the child food and clean clothes—until the boy suddenly grows furry ears and a tail. The child turns out to be the long-whispered shapeshifting tanuki said to have lived in Kagawa for years. Moved by the boy’s apparent loneliness, Souta takes him in and names him Poko, and their days together gradually lead Souta back through his own childhood, the life he left behind, and the bond he shared with his father.
