Katakura Kippei is known at school as an easygoing flirt who avoids anything resembling responsibility. That changes the day he comes home and is suddenly put in charge of his five-year-old cousin, Yuzuyu, on a full-time basis.

Yuzuyu’s mother, Miyako, has vanished, seemingly leaving her behind, and the quiet shock of that loss hangs over the household.
