The Garden of Sinners Chapter 1: Overlooking View

In late-1990s Japan, a string of unsettling suicides begins to dominate the headlines. Each case mirrors the last with chilling precision, and one constant detail refuses to be dismissed: every victim has jumped from the Fujou Building, a derelict high-rise looming over the city.

Shiki Ryougi, an emotionally distant young woman living alone, senses something beyond the ordinary at work. Guided by her own mysterious abilities, she looks into the incidents with Touko Aozaki—a magus and doll-maker who takes on investigative work—and Mikiya Kokutou, Touko’s assistant and Shiki’s close companion, as the search leads deeper into the shadows surrounding the Fujou Building.
