Akikan!

Kakeru Daichi’s niche hobby of collecting rare juice cans takes a bizarre turn when he tries to take a sip from one and it transforms into a girl. He names her Melon, and soon discovers she’s an Akikan: a human-shaped can created for a peculiar experiment pitting steel containers against aluminum ones through battles between Akikans.

Dragged into the chaos, Kakeru finds his daily life upended—especially because Melon’s steel body relies on carbon dioxide to keep going, leaving her closely tied to him. Matters get even more complicated when his rich, attractive childhood friend Najimi ends up with an aluminum Akikan of her own, turning Kakeru’s growing entanglement into an increasingly messy mix of comedy, romance, and rivalry.
