Gorou Honda returns to Mifune East Junior High and catches his friends off guard with his sudden homecoming. Back among the people he cares about most, he’s eager to get back on the field and keep chasing the baseball that’s always driven him.

But the sport doesn’t make it easy. An injury from his days with Hitaka Little forces Gorou to confront baseball’s tougher side, even as new rivals appear and old connections demand repair. With Kaido—an elite baseball high school—within sight, he finds his path complicated by pressures and circumstances that threaten to derail him again, pushing him to figure out what kind of baseball he truly wants to play.
