Sakura Wars TV

In 1920s Japan, demonic forces threaten the nation, prompting the government to develop durable, steam-driven armored suits for battle. Only young women with the right blend of virtue and spiritual strength can operate these machines, making the fight as much a test of character as of skill.

Sakura arrives from the countryside to the Imperial Capital to enlist in the Imperial Flower Combat Troop, a covert defense unit whose public face is a musical theater troupe. Expecting to focus on combat training, she instead finds herself juggling rehearsals, costumes, and line delivery alongside the demands of piloting a robot suit—learning onstage and on the battlefield as she works to help protect Japan.
