Mushibugyo

In Edo, the land is beset by enormous, monstrous insects that ordinary people can’t hope to defeat. Standing against them are the Insect Magistrates, a cadre of warriors trained in specialized secret techniques and distinct fighting styles. As the threat grows, they seek reinforcements by calling for Genjuurou Tsukishima, a renowned swordsman from Tsugaru Province.

Circumstances prevent Genjuurou from answering the summons, and his son Jinbee is sent in his place. Hoping to make amends for an incident he blames on his own cowardice, Jinbee heads to Edo and enlists with the Insect Magistrates, resolved to hone his skills as a samurai and help drive back the insect scourge.
