Kyou Sogoru is an ordinary high schooler in scenic Maihama City, splitting his time between swimming, friends, and video games. That routine is shattered when the enigmatic Shizuno Misaki approaches him with an unsettling request: to leap into the school pool with her.

The moment changes everything, pulling Kyou into a ravaged battleground where pilots control towering humanoid machines called Zegas in a desperate fight against hostile aliens known as Gards-Orm. A rebel group, Cerebrum, stands at the center of the resistance, determined to stop humanity’s annihilation.

Thrown into combat alongside other Zega pilots and confronted with repeated loss, Kyou is forced to rethink what he’s been living through—and what his own existence might truly mean.
