Code Geass: Akito the Exiled - The Wyvern Arrives

In 2017, Europe finds itself under invasion by the Holy Britannian Empire. To push back against mounting losses and relentless enemy pressure, the military creates a special squad known as Wyvern (W-0), made up of former Japanese citizens labeled “Elevens.” Pulled from ghettos, these young pilots are sent into the cockpit of Knightmare Frames—humanoid combat machines—and assigned the kind of missions where survival is never promised.

When a European regiment trying to retake a strategically vital city is trapped by Britannian forces, W-0 is dispatched as the relief unit. Lieutenant Akito Hyuuga, feared and respected as “Hannibal’s Ghost” for his battlefield skill, joins the operation—only for the supposed rescue to turn into a near-certain death sentence when a commanding officer triggers the Knightmare Frames’ self-destruct to maximize enemy casualties. In the wreckage that follows, Akito discovers he may be the only one left alive.
