The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura

Haruka Kotoura has spent most of her life being feared and avoided. Gifted with the ability to hear people’s thoughts, she was branded unsettling by classmates, and the same power fractured her family, leaving her to live with her grandfather. Years of harsh treatment have taught her to keep her distance, turning her guarded and withdrawn.

A transfer to a new school finally shifts that pattern. Though many students still react to her the way others always have, she crosses paths with Yoshihisa Manabe, who is fascinated rather than repelled by what she can do. As he insists on staying by her side, Haruka begins to experience friendship and acceptance for the first time, slowly learning how to let others in.
