Nekomonogatari Black

After enduring a vampire incident, Koyomi Araragi starts to sense that the class rep who once saved him, Tsubasa Hanekawa, isn’t quite herself. He runs into her on the way to a bookstore and notices a bandage on her face, but Hanekawa brushes it off as a minor injury from home and insists he stay out of it. The unease only deepens when a tailless white cat is struck by a car; Araragi and Hanekawa bury it together, and the day’s strange turns begin to take on a darker shape.

Seeking answers, Araragi visits Meme Oshino and learns that what they laid to rest was no ordinary animal, but an apparition—one that could be drawn to Hanekawa’s current condition. Sent to make sure she’s safe, Araragi finds Hanekawa has attacked her parents, overtaken by the “Sawari Neko,” and he’s forced to confront the supernatural threat head-on to repay the debt he owes her.
