Wakaba Girl centers on Wakaba Kohashi, a sheltered girl from a wealthy family who longs to reinvent herself as a stylish, trendy gyaru, inspired by their bright, carefree confidence. As the new school year begins, she sets her sights on a bold high school debut—only to find her days quickly shaped by the friends she meets: the sweet and straightforward Moeko Tokita, the diligent Nao Mashiba, and the delightfully offbeat Mao Kurokawa. Before long, the four form an easygoing group, trading perspectives as they try out one another’s habits and ways of life.

From school festivals and waterpark outings to gym class challenges, their everyday adventures highlight the small surprises of growing closer. Wakaba gets a taste of ordinary student life, while Nao, Moeko, and Mao catch glimpses of what it means to come from a rich household, turning each shared moment into another step in their friendship.
