Run Momoki is absent-minded, kindhearted, and has been inseparable from her childhood friend Tooru Ichii for years. Even though Run is a grade above, Tooru’s fiercely protective streak—and Run’s easy popularity with the boys—often turns everyday moments into small frustrations for Tooru.

When Tooru enrolls at the same high school, she discovers their duo has expanded into a group of four. Run’s classmates Nagisa Tennouji and Yuuko Nishi join the circle, and Tooru isn’t immediately convinced they deserve Run’s trust. As the school year gets underway, the girls settle into their new dynamic while making the most of the simple, lively rhythms of high school life.
