Over Drive

Mikoto Shinozaki is a socially awkward high schooler whose unkempt look and low confidence make him an easy target. Yuki Fukuzawa—the most popular girl in their class—figures that much of his trouble comes from his own lack of initiative, and she pushes him toward a change by inviting him to join the school’s bicycle club. Mikoto, driven by his feelings for Yuki, wants to say yes—until one problem becomes impossible to ignore: he can’t even ride a bike.

Still, the idea of himself cycling won’t leave his mind. With no skills to fall back on but plenty of curiosity, Mikoto sneaks onto campus at night to practice in secret. From those first shaky attempts, his path into competitive cycling begins, gradually reshaping his daily life and the world he thought he knew.
