Pupipo!

Himeji Wakaba, a fifth-grade elementary student, possesses a unique and unsettling gift—she can see malevolent spirits that no one else notices. This ability isolates her from her peers, leaving her friendless and often withdrawn. Despite her attempts to connect, her encounters with these eerie entities have made her life a lonely struggle. Occasionally, she brings home stray animals in hopes of companionship, but her parents, concerned for their daughter’s well-being, have always refused to let her keep them. They finally decide that whatever she brings home next will be allowed to stay, hoping it might lift her spirits.

What follows is the arrival of Pupipo, a quirky pink creature whose true nature remains a mystery. Unlike the frightening spirits that haunt Wakaba, Pupipo serves as her protector and confidant. With its help, Wakaba begins to form friendships, including one with a new classmate who shares her fascination with the paranormal, and she gains the confidence to confront bullies at school. As she navigates the challenges of growing up, the presence of her whimsical companion transforms her life, bringing light and laughter into her once lonely world.
