Miko Yotsuya was content with an ordinary high school routine, where late-night horror programs were just harmless entertainment. Then, after a single unsettling day, she becomes the only one who can see grotesque spirits roaming unnoticed among everyday people—some of them leaning in close to whisper, “Can you see me?”

Terrified but determined, Miko chooses one rule to survive: never react, never acknowledge them, no matter how horrific they appear. Keeping a straight face through class and crowded streets, she tries to shield herself and those around her—especially her bright, energetic best friend Hana Yurikawa—from the disturbances these unseen presences leave in their wake, even when fear threatens to overwhelm her.
