Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time

Rumi Yokoi sits in class determined to pay attention, but the student at the desk beside her, Toshinari Seki, makes that nearly impossible. While the teacher lectures, Seki is busy staging meticulous little diversions with whatever he can get his hands on—constructing elaborate domino runs or turning shogi pieces into the centerpiece of a miniature battlefield.

Yokoi tries to ignore the spectacle and keep her focus, yet she can’t help getting drawn into his quiet, inventive mischief. Somehow, the fallout almost always lands on her, leaving Yokoi to face the teacher’s suspicion while Seki carries on as if nothing happened.
