Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon

In a world beset by magical threats, specially trained warriors called Inquisitors are charged with stopping danger and wrongdoing without resorting to lethal force. The Anti-Magic Academy exists to educate these recruits, organizing students into small squads designed to build teamwork in the field. One unit in particular, the 35th Test Platoon—derisively nicknamed the “Small Fry Platoon”—sits at the bottom of the rankings, weighed down by its reputation for incompetence.

Their stagnant routine is upended when Ouka Ootori, a formidable but unruly former Inquisitor, is assigned to the platoon as punishment for breaking regulations and committing the grave offense of killing a witch. Her arrival immediately sparks conflict, especially with the platoon’s awkward captain, Takeru Kusanagi, and the rest of the squad as arguments erupt over how witches should be viewed and handled. To rise through the Academy’s ranks, the mismatched team must learn to put their differences aside and operate as a true unit.
