The Garden of Sinners Chapter 2: A Study in Murder - Part 1

In the winter of 1995, Mikiya Kokutou crosses paths with a mysterious girl on a snowy night: Shiki Ryougi, dressed in a pristine white kimono and meeting his curiosity with a quiet, unsettling smile. When he later recognizes her at their high school entrance ceremony, the two slowly become acquainted through casual lunchtime talks, and Shiki begins to reveal hints of her unusual upbringing.

At the same time, Mifune City is shaken by a string of exceptionally brutal murders, severe enough to draw an intensive police response. Through his cousin, who works as an investigator, Mikiya hears fragments of the case—and as his concern for Shiki grows, he starts keeping a close watch on her.
