Nanbaka

Nanba is a maximum-security prison designed to hold criminals who can’t be contained anywhere else. In Cell 13 are four notorious escape artists with an unbroken record: Juugo, a master lockpicker who’s spent most of his life behind bars; Uno, a gambler guided by sharp instincts; Nico, an otaku whose body reacts unusually to drugs; and Rock, a powerhouse with an appetite to match. Their constant antics keep landing them in trouble, much to the frustration of stern supervisor Hajime Sugoroku, who’s determined to stop any attempt at another breakout.

Nanbaka chronicles the lively, comedy-leaning days of inmates and guards alike, mixing action and drama into the routine of prison life. Between regular meals, events like sports festivals, and the everyday chaos Cell 13 creates, Nanba becomes an unexpectedly familiar place—closer to a home than any of the four have known.
