Chio's School Road

For most students, the walk to school is routine. For first-year Chio Miyamo, it turns into a daily gauntlet—especially after staying up late for marathon video game sessions that leave her racing the clock on the way to Samejima Private Academy. To avoid being marked late, she constantly improvises new routes and on-the-spot solutions.

Those detours bring a steady stream of odd complications, from blocked streets and enthusiastic kabaddi players to confused motorcycle gang leaders. Drawing on the “special ops” instincts she’s picked up through gaming—earning her the tongue-in-cheek reputation of the assassin “Bloody Butterfly”—Chio pushes through each morning’s chaos alongside her friends Manana Nonomura and Yuki Hosokawa, determined to escape the school’s strict tardiness punishments.
