Internet addiction has spread among the nation’s youth, and those deemed beyond help are sent to Elite Reeducation Academy to be molded into “proper” adults. Hibiki wakes inside the facility with no memory of arriving, only to be told by the head instructor that his mother arranged his admission after his behavior grew increasingly aggressive due to his dependence on the web.

What’s presented as a school quickly feels closer to a prison, where the staff’s cruelty leaves Hibiki seeing no way out. Driven to the edge, he heads to the rooftop intending to end his life—until an encounter with a mysterious man named Shin, who offers him a reason to keep going, alters his path.
