Back Street Girls: Gokudols

After one mistake too many, yakuza underlings Kentarou, Ryou, and Kazuhiko are given a brutal ultimatum by their boss: lose their organs—or be sent to Thailand for sex reassignment surgery and start over as pop idols. A year later, following punishing training, they reemerge as Airi, Chika, and Mari, debuting as the rookie idol unit The Goku Dolls with orders to climb to the top.

The problem is that beneath the makeup and rehearsed smiles, their old yakuza instincts refuse to die. Determined to force a true transformation, their boss brings in Mandarin Kinoshita, a famed manager with an unbroken track record. With failure carrying consequences far beyond a bad review, the reluctant idols are pushed to find their “cute” side while their hardened past keeps threatening to break through.
