Synopsis

After the Kappa Kingdom is toppled by the Otter Empire, Prince Keppi is stripped of much of his strength and left unable to face the mysterious Kapa-zombies now haunting the world. Born from the Otters’ schemes and shaped by people’s deepest desires, these creatures spread unchecked—until Keppi turns to three boys for help: Kazuki Yasaka, who never goes anywhere without a box; his childhood friend Enta Jinnai; and Tooi Kuji, a truant known for delinquency.

Through the removal of the mythical shirikodama, the trio can transform into kappa and take the fight to the Kapa-zombies. Victory, however, demands more than power: they must link together through mind, body, and the secrets they keep hidden. With the fate of the Kappa Kingdom tied to their bond, Kazuki, Enta, and Tooi confront how easily connections can fray—and how much they’re worth protecting.
