Yozakura Quartet

Two realms exist side by side in *Yozakura Quartet*: the human world and the land of youkai. Though many youkai can pass as human, their animal-like traits and unusual powers set them apart—and while they’re typically kept to their own domain, some slip into humanity’s. To foster coexistence, the city of Sakurashin was built within a barrier formed by seven enchanted trees known as the Seven Pillars, creating a rare shared home for humans and youkai alike.

Keeping that uneasy harmony intact is the Hizumi Life Counseling Office. Teen director Akina Hiizumi wields a hereditary “tuning” ability that can permanently return dangerous youkai to their world, working alongside Sakurashin’s 16-year-old youkai mayor Hime Yarizakura, the town announcer and telepath Ao Nanami, and Kotoha Isone, a half-youkai who can summon items simply by speaking their names. As newcomers arrive and strange incidents ripple through the city, the group and their friends are drawn into protecting Sakurashin—and the delicate peace it represents.
