Keisuke Niijima’s happiest days were the ones he spent with his wife, Takae. What began as a workplace acquaintance slowly deepened into a loving partnership, and before long they were married and raising their daughter, Mai. After Takae’s death, Keisuke’s life stalls; grief leaves him withdrawn and unable to connect with Mai the way he should.

A decade later, the quiet, heavy atmosphere in the Niijima home is shaken when a young girl appears at their door and insists she is Takae reborn.
