On the final day of term at Kamakura Girls’ School, 14-year-old Ichika Tachibana looks forward to a memorable summer with her friends. That ordinary excitement shifts when, while cleaning an unused school building, she catches a glimpse of an unfamiliar girl staring back from a large mirror instead of her own reflection.

Later, the same girl appears again—this time holding Ichika’s misplaced phone. She introduces herself as Manatsu Kuroki, steps out from the mirror, and returns it, only for Ichika to discover that the stones on her phone charm have changed color. The charm now lets her draw on the power of the 12 Djinn said to watch over the world, pulling Ichika into encounters that reveal startling visions and increasingly heavy thoughts as she learns what these spirits bring into her life.
