Yukito Kunisaki wanders from place to place, chasing a story his mother once told him about a “Winged Maiden” said to have been bound to the sky long ago. Earning what he can by performing a small puppet show, he drifts into a quiet seaside town he expects to pass through—until he meets the unusual Misuzu, who quickly invites him to stay.

As Yukito settles in, he begins to form connections with the town’s residents and becomes drawn into their personal troubles, choosing to help them even as his own search is put on hold. With his growing bond to Misuzu and the life he’s found there, the mystery he’s been pursuing may not be as distant as it once seemed.
