Okamikakushi: Masque of the Wolf

Fifteen-year-old Hiroshi Kuzumi relocates with his family to the secluded mountain town of Jouga for his father’s work. Instead of struggling to settle in, he finds himself unusually popular at his new school, quickly forming connections with his next-door neighbor, the overly affectionate Isuzu Tsumuhana, and fellow newcomer Kaname Asagiri. For a while, life in Jouga feels disarmingly ordinary.

That calm begins to fracture as townspeople start vanishing. Adults insist the missing residents simply moved away or transferred, but Hiroshi can’t ignore the growing sense that the town is hiding something. Under crimson nights, masked figures roam the streets—led by a girl carrying a scythe—turning Jouga’s quiet charm into an unsettling mystery where safety feels increasingly uncertain.
