Hanasaku Iroha: Blossoms for Tomorrow

Ohana Matsumae is a spirited Tokyo teenager raised by her carefree single mother. When her mother suddenly disappears with a new boyfriend to evade debt collectors, Ohana is left to stand on her own—sent to rural Japan to live with a stern grandmother who runs a small inn.

Thrust into an unfamiliar countryside routine, Ohana begins working at the inn as part of its staff, learning the demands of the job while adjusting to a quieter way of life. Between the workplace and her new school, she gradually forms connections with the people around her and faces the everyday challenges that come with starting over.
